So, what do you think of the dream home decor? Is it your dream home? You have one more week to enter. And when you win, I promise I'll invite myself over for dinner. : )

is it your DREAM HOME?
This year the HGTV Dream Home is in my neck of the woods! Has anyone been entering the sweepstakes on a daily basis? I always wonder how much time the people who win commit to trying to win. I read the rules the other day and apparently, on top of entering online, you can send in postcards- as many as you want. I have been entering on their site whenever I happen to think of it, but am not committed enough to send in postcards, although I know there are people out there who are tearing their way through stamps to win. On the off chance that I do win (ha ha- riiight), I think I will let my sister and her husband live there so that I can have them close again. I am perfectly content with our location in the countryside and have found that I like having a cozy little home.

I'm still waiting for HGTV come and make the crooked shmooked house into a dream home. Can you send in a postcard and see if maybe they can just give us all their money? I really do like what they've done though... it is so blissful; I am smitten.
The outside of the house is adorable! I love that wraparound porch! The interiors leave something to be desired---but then again, for me it wouldn't be a dream home unless it required lots and lots of hands on work to make it my own!
I am entering daily, but you knew that. No postcards though. I do tend to hoard my stamps. And, of course you will be invited over for dinner when we are moved in! I think they did a beautiful job decorating, though we veer more to the modern styles, but I wouldn't complain! Anyway, we'll see you in a few weeks when we win. :)
Heidi, My mom & I were talking about turning it into a B&B if either of us one... so I'll let you stay for free sometime when it's mine!
Oh, I do warn people that all of the winners of previous dream homes never don't live in them any longer because the taxes are too big to afford...
I'll take the kitchen, green bedroom,& bathroom, please. :)
Hubby- You have all the good ideas! XO
Anne- I agree. I love the porch, but would have to change a lot of the inside to reflect me.
Erin- Can't wait to visit you!
Jess- That's a great idea! Yeah- I was wondering what I'd do about the taxes...
j.US.t chatter- Me too!
The house is gorgeous and I have certainly enjoyed all the fun comments! I like you think the interior is a little much but there are pieces and parts of every room that I like! I certainly wouldn't complain if I won it;)
Tell the smitten hubby he is hilarious! ;)
Not exactly my dream home, but I'd take it in a hearbeat! It spanks my 1200sq foot 1950's house! Even with the crazy green ceiling and cowboy kids room.
