welcome to PALACE ROAD

Welcome to my dream home. Please take off your shoes and don a pair of the slippers provided for your comfort. I can't have the white floors soiled, you know. Feel free to take photographs while you are here. I know you will want to remember my place for a very long time. Oh, and if you are hungry, have a grape or two off the table.

Um... yeah... perfection. I'd add some color- okay, a lot of color- but the house itself is exactly how I see my "when I write my best-seller and make millions" house to be. *sigh*

actually... when can I move in HERE?

Oops, I spoke too soon. Clifton Vale has competition for my affections.

Yep, sorry Clifton Vale. It just wasn't meant to be.

Afterthought: If you want to know how indecisive I am? Consider this- after posting this, I just went back and looked at Clifton Vale and realized I would probably rather live there. I guess we'll never know for sure...

so, uh... when can I MOVE IN?

With some color added here and there and a few personal accessories, I can see hubby, Yogurt, BooBoo and I living quite a nice life in this townhouse.

dreaming of a HOLIDAY

I've been having one of those days that makes me want to pack up and take a vacation (don't worry, hubby- you are coming too). It sounds nice to leave all our stuff and responsibilities at home and just spend a weekend... or week... or month away from it all. I'd bring a suitcase full of books and pack all of my comfiest clothes, my camera, Scrabble, and a picnic basket. We'd leave the laptops and DVDs at home and just relax. We'd read the days away, take walks in the country, nap on the lawn, make meals together, play games, look at the stars, and enjoy the simple life every day. We'd go to bed when we are tired rather than staying up to watch a movie or our show and wake up with the sun and the birds. We'd come home rested and refreshed. Doesn't that sound nice? I'm a little more relaxed even thinking about it. And the backdrop for my dreamy "holiday"?

Want to make a donation to a couple in need, Location Works?

I almost had to choose this home for it's pink-draped sunroom alone, but the entire space appeals to me, and it doesn't hurt that it's 41 miles from London, and has 13 acres of gardens and woodlands. Oh yes, I can see myself in it now...

nice to meet you, LIGHT LOCATIONS

I was making my way through a maze of design and decor blogs tonight, as I often do, and was introduced to a gem of a site via please sir. I don't know about you, but I love to see home interiors. Every time I come across a house tour on a decor blog, I can't wait to visit each room and see what unique spin the homeowner puts on decorating. If anyone knows of a blog that is solely house tours, please tell me because I will be ecstatic. I think this site comes close. Let me introduce you to Light Locations. Light Locations is a site dedicated to providing beautiful and unique locations to the film and photographic industries. I'm not in the film or photographic industry, but I am in the nosy neighbor club and I want to sneak a peek inside these homes and yours if you'll let me. Take a looky-loo with me...

See, now wasn't that fun? Now you are ready to join my nosy neighbor club. You know you want to.
