Kiss me till I die Then kiss me back to life again. by Eda Cherry.

I hope your Valentine's Day weekend is full of romance and beauty-- even if the romance is only found on-screen and the beauty is in a fabulous shopping spree. ; )

dreaming of a HOLIDAY

I've been having one of those days that makes me want to pack up and take a vacation (don't worry, hubby- you are coming too). It sounds nice to leave all our stuff and responsibilities at home and just spend a weekend... or week... or month away from it all. I'd bring a suitcase full of books and pack all of my comfiest clothes, my camera, Scrabble, and a picnic basket. We'd leave the laptops and DVDs at home and just relax. We'd read the days away, take walks in the country, nap on the lawn, make meals together, play games, look at the stars, and enjoy the simple life every day. We'd go to bed when we are tired rather than staying up to watch a movie or our show and wake up with the sun and the birds. We'd come home rested and refreshed. Doesn't that sound nice? I'm a little more relaxed even thinking about it. And the backdrop for my dreamy "holiday"?

I almost had to choose this home for it's pink-draped sunroom alone, but the entire space appeals to me, and it doesn't hurt that it's 41 miles from London, and has 13 acres of gardens and woodlands. Oh yes, I can see myself in it now...

never buy FRAMES again

I have had wallpaper on the brain ever since the amazing giveaway at decor8. Speaking of wallpaper, how ingenious is Frames by Graham & Brown? It would be perfect for the artistic child's room, an office, or really... anywhere. Imagine all the money you will save on frames after you buy Frames.

wear your WALLS on your LEGS

While looking at Urban Outfitter's tights collection, I was inspired to find matching wallpaper. So if you ever looked at your wallpaper and thought, "I wish I had tights like that" or looked in the mirror at your tights and thought, "If only they had this pattern for my walls," this post is for you.

my V-DAY DEAL

A few weeks ago my mom and I hit up Ann Taylor Loft the day after they had marked down all of the winter and Christmas styles. Nearly everything was at least 75% off. I don't shop there on a regular basis because there are only select pieces that are my style, but when they have a seasonal sale- I am there. I came away from the shopping trip with 3 dresses, 2 sweaters, 4 jackets, and 8 shirts. I know that might sound excessive, but the most I paid for an individual item was $13. I got $100 jackets for $8. Eight dollars! Trust me- you would have done the same thing. One of my most exciting purchases was this red dress. It was originally $100 and I got it for $5.

I'm a sucker for detailing on clothing and I love the roses on the neckline of this dress. I still can't believe I got it for $5. I am so excited to wear it out. Granted, hubby and I won't be going out for our sushi dinner on Valentine's Day because we are not fond of crowds, but we will be celebrating it soon. It's sort of like I get two Valentine's Days. One will likely be spent hanging out at home together on Saturday- or possibly going for a drive, and the next will be dressing up and going out to dinner next week. In my $5 dress!

And if I was willing to pay more than $5 for my V-Day outfit, I'd get these accessories:

shoes - earrings - tights - purse

But alas, I don't have a budget for accessories, so I will have to make do with accessories I already have and, of course, my fabulous $5 dress.

SWEET dreams

I don't know why I am still up. Actually, I do- I am up because I was working on an etsy treasury. Those things are the devil. You have to stalk them to try to even get one and once you do, you want it to be perfect- front page worthy. I gave up on mine for tonight. I am tuckered out. It's time to rest my head on the pillow and dream about... pillows.
